TARA...Pretty Discovery

Showbiz is like a magnet. With all its glamand glitter, it attracts many. Its beholding power is inexplicable. Anyone who is given the opportunity to try it makes the  most of the chance, most especially if she has a potential. Though some manage to create waves initially, it is not a sure guarantee that her star will shine the brightest. Looks, charisma and talent are not enough to create clout in the business. Determination ought to be included. If you don’t possess the drive, nothing will happen.

In the case of newbie Tara, signs are clear she is heading for a bright career in the business. Not only she is blessed with looks, she also possesses the “it” to be recognized easily. Her articulate nature puts everyone at ease with her. She is beauty, wit and talent rolled into one.

How’s life in show business?
“Actually, I am very thankful that I am being handled by the veteran Ms. Angie Magbanua. I am very certain that I am in good hands as she wants to package me as a singer. You know, singing is my passion kasi, eh. I am very glad my dream is finally being realized, avers the pretty newcomer.”

How serious are you in entering show business?
“Honestly, I have been trying my luck since I was little. Show business fascinates me a lot.” Versatility is what Tara eyes this early… “Yes! I am aware that it (being versatile) is a great factor for a fresh face like me. It means you’ll have a lot of opportunities to make a successful career. By and by, I can show my other
talents naman, eh.”

Interestingly, who are your influences in the business?
“Oh, in Hollywood, I like Audrey Hepburn. She is my number one idol. She is very beautiful and very talented, the reason why she became a legend. Locally, I admire how Richard Gomez chartered his career. Jericho Rosales is an intense artist and siyempre, Aubrey Miles, she is sexy and witty.”

Do you see your English twang as a disadvantage in your showbiz career?
“As in the fans will be intimidated or something? I don’t think so naman. I speak Tagalog also. One thing more, I believe fans are a lot more intelligent now. They emulate the new breed of stars who speak their minds out. The fans have also evolved na rin.”

The business is filled with controversies how ready are you to face them?
“I am aware that intrigues are part of show business. Any newcomer passes that stage. I am already prepared for it. I am one person who loves challenges. Five years na rin akong nagta-try. I won’t let controversies ruin my dreams.”

How about dealing with the fans?
There are instances when they can go out of bounds. “I understand that there are really moments when they go beyond the limit. For me, it is okay. Fans are instrumental to one star’s success. As long as it is not below the belt, okay lang.  What is important is I make them happy, right?

Aside from teen sensation Lindsay Lohan, many say you hold resemblance to Dawn Zulueta and Marjorie Barretto. What can you say about this?

“It is advantageous for it is flattering to be compared to the three of them who are all beautiful women. But personally, I would also like to have my own identity.” DP
