After
everything's
been
said
and
done,
one
thing
cannot
be
denied
about
controversial
young
star
Desiree
del
Valle,
she
is
one
actress
with
genuine
talent.
From
the
time
she
was
discovered
via
the
“Face
of
the
Week”
in
the
Philippine
Star
to
her
latest
role
as a
villain
in
Judy
Ann
Santos’ Krystala
teleserye,
Des
(Desiree’s
nickname)
has
proven
time
and
again
that
she
is
not
just
a
pretty
face
but
an
actress
with
deep
acting
skills
honed
from
real
life
experiences
and
with
inborn
finesse
as a
natural
actress.
Who
could
have
forgotten
her
role
in
the
toprating
soap
Bituin
as
Bernadette,
the
ruthless
and
mean
sister
to
Carol
Banawa
where
their
singing
and
acting
rivalries
were
the
talk
of
the
town
in
those
times.
“It
was
the
highest
point
of
my
career
when
I
was
part
of
the
soap
opera
Bituin
together
with
Carol
Banawa,
Cherie
Gil
and
Nora
Aunor.
I
played
a
villain
of
course
and
was
given
a
chance
to
have
a
concert
which
was
part
of
the
show
and
people
took
our
characters
seriously
like
real
life
--
they
thought
Carol
--‘Melody’--
and
I
--‘Bernadette’--
were
really magkagalit!,”
Des
exclaimed.
Also
memorable
for
Des
was
her
days
in
Tabing
Ilog,
the
youth
oriented
Sunday
afternoon
show
that
launched
the
careers
of
young
stars
like
Des,
John
Lloyd
Cruz,
Kaye
Abad,
Paolo
Contis,
Jodi
Sta.
Maria
and
Baron
Geisler.
Tabing
Ilog
days
were
the
best!
Always
looking
forward
to
Wednesday,
since
we
only
tape
once
a
week
in
Pagsanjan,
Laguna.
It
didn't
seem
like
work
at
all.
We
all
bonded
really
well-co-actors,
directors,
staff
and
crew.
It
was
great!”
Des
recalled.
Des
have
gone
through
a
lot
but
she
has
weathered
the
storm
and
seemed
to
have
found
true
love
with
current
flame,
Luis
Alandy.
Both
Desiree
and
Luis
are
from
Talent
Center.
They
were
also
mainstays
of
the
recently
concluded
ABS-CBN
teleserye,
Sana'y
Wala
Nang
Wakas,
starring
Jericho
Rosales,
Diether
Ocampo,
Kristine
Hermosa
and
Angelika
de
la
Cruz.
It
must
have
been
there
where
their
romance
bloomed.
“Luis
is a
really
great
guy...all
the
things
and
aspects
you
would
consider
your
"dream
guy"
to
be.
When
I
think
of
him
it's
like
he
is
just
too
perfect
to
be
true.
He
courted
me
and
I
saw
how
sincere
he
was...
I
fell
in
love
with
this
man
and
I
still
am,
even
if
we're
together,”
she
stressed.
With
the
horizon
very
rosy
for
Des,
she
is
hoping
for
the
best
in
her
career.
She
is
looking
forward
to
more
kontrabida
roles
as
she
believes
she
will
excel
in
them.
But
she
also
aspires
for
the
bida/kontrabida
double
roles
just
like
the
soap
“Ruby”
on
Channel
2.
“I
love
doin'
soap
operas.
It
keeps
me
going
and
I
learn
a
lot
and
still
growing
as
an
actress.
There
were
also
talks
that
my
life
is
planned
to
be
featured
on
MMK
(Maalaala
Mo
Kaya).
If
given
a
chance
I
would
like
to
portray
myself”.
Her
life
is
truly
worthy
of
the
MMK
spotlights
with
its
ups
and
downs
but
what
we
really
admire
about
Des
is
her
ability
to
rise
from
adversity,
to
turn
failures
into
opportunities
and
for
being
optimistic
with
her
life
and
career.
She
is
on
the
rebound
and
who
knows,
once
Des
gets
her
second
wind,
she
can
truly
achieve
the
success
and
stardom
that
she
rightfully
deserves
