why Zia
Marquez
joined
showbusiness.
She’s got
the looks,
the kind
that would
make one
stop and
adore. The
pouting lips
are very
Angelina.
The
inviting,
soulful eyes
display
different
emotions.
She’s young
and
beautiful,
enough for
her to be in
the business
of show.
But more
than these,
there’s one
enough

Zia is a

Marquez),

Zia
formalized
her wanting
to be in the
business
where her
famous
parents
etched an
indelible
niche. She
started as
a young
entertainer
in “Ang
TV2”, the
sequel to
the highly
successful
“Ang TV”
which
produced
established
celebrities
like Jolina
Magdangal,
Paolo Contis,
Angelica
Panganiban,
Camille
Prats,
Patrick
Garcia. Her
sophomore
appearance
made her
want more
that at 13
now, she
wants to
flex more
acting
muscles,
display more
dancing and
singing
skills.
Zia is a
combination
of her
famous mom
and dad.
From Brenda,
she
inherited
her guts as
she is the
kind who
will stop at
nothing to
achieve her
goals. Like
her mom, she
pursues her
dream and
won’t stop
until she
gets to
where she
dreams of.
As for her
dad, she
says that
she has
learned to
be comic, to
take things
in lighter
mode. “I
inherited
his
goofiness,”
she told us.
At first,
Joey was
against her
going into
mainstream
showbusiness.
This is
understandable
as Zia is
still young
and fragile,
a total
novice in
the world
where
intrigues
come very
handy. But
she’s
undaunted so
she used her
charm to
persuade her
dad.
Zia has
displayed
her acting
mettle in a
few TV
appearances,
“Maala-ala
Mo Kaya”,
“Pangako Sa
‘Yo” and “Wansapanataym”.
She hopes to
show off
some more in
the future.
She has also
modelled for
Guess in a
fashion show
for
Nickelodeon.
A
budding
fashionista,
Zia dreams
to follow
her aunt
Melanie
Marquez’s
footsteps.
She wants to
do sashay on
the catwalk
in beautiful
dresses. And
she, too,
wants to
represent
the country
in a beauty
pageant
abroad.
